Zero-Candida: A New, Bright Future for Women's Health

One of the problems that rises in a huge percentage (75%) among women at one point or another in their lives - the Candida. All in all, something natural that our body lives with quite harmoniously - until it doesn't. There are women who suffer from it chronically and depend on the only treatment - antibiotic suppositories/pills that destroy the body's natural flora and may even cause other problems. Zero Candida is an innovative Israeli fem-tech startup dedicated to revolutionizing women’s health by addressing chronic Candida infections. The company has developed a groundbreaking tampon-like device that combines a therapeutic light source with a transparent gel-based drug delivery system. This device is designed to maintain the optimal pH in the vagina and is used for just three consecutive nights, providing an effective solution for treating Candidiasis.
Branding

The logo - The goal - for it to be iconic, memorable, simple and elegant. will express technology, femininity, progress and futurity. And most of all we wanted - to express the product and it's solution. We knew that we would go in the direction of the shape of the product and we started experimenting with all kinds of its shapes and how to insert them into the icon. We put the words ZERO+CANDIDA one on top of the other to give more emphasis to "ZERO" together with the icon as the letter O.Color Palette - When we received the project, the company's colors were gray - technology, and pink - femininity. The task was to convey the same things, but in a more "classic", more "modern", and less sexist (like, pink) way. At first we chose to go for oval blues - because the solution is about blue light. We created a gentle and pleasant gradient that expresses femininity through its softness. We created a lot of games of light and dark (because the technology itself is light) and therefore we included an almost black, white, and light gray color in the palette. We wanted to put a lot of emphasis on the blues but in an elegant way.Design language - Flowers: Beyond the icon and its shape, we wanted to express femininity through flowers as well. Instead of conveying the problem, we wanted to convey the solution - the feeling of "freshness" and "pleasantness". Also, the female genital itself in many cultures is equated with a flower, and in many languages words related to flowers are also associated with puberty and maturity. Light and darkness: a clichéd phrase, but here it comes to life completely - "there is no light without darkness". In order to adequately produce the sensation of blue light (on which the technology is based), we had to introduce a dark background.

The website design process for Zero Candida focused on creating a modern, elegant, and user-friendly platform that reflects the company’s mission to revolutionize women’s health. The team developed a cohesive brand identity, crafted an iconic logo, and chose a sophisticated color palette of blues, whites, and grays to convey cleanliness and freshness. Design elements like flowers and light-dark contrasts were used to symbolize femininity and the technology’s blue light basis. Ample white space was incorporated to create a relaxed and clean feel, ensuring the website is approachable and easy to navigate.
